The trip

 

EvexiaTales takes care of you from the very beginning so our excursion starts from your hotel or any point of your choice in Athens.

 

We are heading to Kiato via the Athens - Corinth - Patras highway. Then we exit the highway turning towards the mountain mass of Ziria, in the direction of Lake Stymfalia. We visit the wonderful museum of the area and write our own tale walking by the lake in the footsteps of Hercules, the semi-god Greek hero who performed right there one of The Twelve Labors.

 

Then our route passes through beautiful landscapes and picturesque villages and lead to the plateau of Feneos and Lake Doxa. We take an unforgettable hike admiring the unique landscape surrounding the lake. You find moments of peace, wellness and relaxation in the forest of wild cypress trees, firs and black pines alongside the lake.

 

At short distance from the lake we find Ag. Georgios’ monastery and the "Secret School" in the surroundings.

 

Lunch s in one of the traditional taverns of the area and then we cross the green landscape to meet the impressive Church of “Virgin Mary of the rocks” in Tarsus and the Church of the Holy Trinity.

 

As the day comes to an end and we head back to Athens, enjoy the unique scenery of the sunset in the Saronic Gulf, then take a quick peak at the wonderful photos you took during this unique day.
